After posting or signing in background control

OK! I had been noticing that when making a post. I see this message below with the Grey background (background-color: #EBEBEB).

How do I fixed it, so it will show the default background color for the theme?

Re: Should I upgrade to xoops 2.0.15?

In that case, I will get my site upgrade to 2.0.15.

Current the modules I had installed are modules that came with version 2.0.13. As my site just got installed, I have no critical data that needed backup, but thanks for the reminders.

Or you can be brave about it, and edit the templates.

Please be aware that you will pretty much always have to redo this on every upgrade.

Bassman's suggestion is probably the best but if you want to really "hack" up the way cbb (which is what I assume you are using) looks you will need to go template chopping.

I dont mind hacking the template, if I know where to change all the setting that required.

It will not having any effect on the upgrade. The forum template, I am working on will and should be compatible to all version. Not unless the upgrade required code changed in the templates (that I dont forsee), then in that case (of the code changed) it will not matter.

I am current using newbb that came with XOOPS 2.0.13 with XOOPS 2.0.14.

Is cbb different than the newbb?

Nope that works. Definitely.

That work for constant images for sure. But how does the image that keep changing from new post, no new post, locked, etc... applied to this. If I use

<img src="<{xoImgUrl /images/icons/imagename.gif}>" alt="<{$smarty.const._imagesname}>" />

it will not change according to related icons.

Hi Herko,

You need to mimic the same directory structure, but then in your theme folder. So for images from xoopsroot/images/icons/ you would put the overriding images in:

/themes/customTheme/images/icons/

and in your overiding template use for example:
<img src="<{xoImgUrl /images/icons/edit.gif}>" alt="<{$smarty.const._EDIT}>" />

@biteronboard
yep, could also just use a static image path. Only then the template can't readily be used for another theme, as there's no fallback to the default icons if the theme doesn't include custom ones.

Minor detail I guess, but I always prefer generic solutions

Will this be the same with Forum Images?

default Forum images folder is:

modules\newbb\images

And Custom Theme images folder is:

themes\CustomTheme\modules\newbb\images

Or will it be different?

Re: Standard Forum css file

What control the forum images, then? IE: folder_big.gif, folder.gif, etc..

I want to be able to control those images, so I can have matching Theme forum images instead of the default forum images.

Thanks in advance.
