Found the solution, in this thread, see the post by SLEO577 on Dec. 12/2005:
https://xoops.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=43649&start=0#forumpost200436

(basically, in modules administration, in the System row, click on the "update" icon - ie. the icon in the right column, just to the left of the "info" icon. This will bring back the links.)

Anyone know why this works?

Hi,

I just installed the Content module, v0.5 on XOOPS 2.23.

Whenever I try and edit a content item (in this case the default test.html which comes with the content module), the editor comes up fine, but all there is in the editing window is a "0" (the number 0). That's it, no text.

What it should be showing is:

"Test Content
This is a HTML example..."

Anyone know what the problem might be?

Thanks very much.

Hi,

In order to make a change to the login block template, I cloned the template set and made the new clone the default. After submitting, the links inside the main menu block disappeared.

When I restored the old default template set, it didn't bring them back.

In the template set manager, when I list the templates associated with "System", next to the system_block_mainmenu.html file it says "Generate".

When I press Generate, I get the message: "Selected file does not exist". I tried uploading the original system_block_mainmenu.html from my PC, but I get the message: "Template file system_block_mainmenu.html does not need to be installed (PHP files using this template file does not exist"

Anyways, does anyone know how I can get the links back into the main menu block?

Below is the php debug info, and system details.

Thanks very much.

ok, take this from a newbie, but the following should work in XOOPS 2.23:

in class/xoopsecurity.php,
in the function checkreferrer,
add the words:

return true; // disable referrer checking

as the *very* first line of the function.

That's it, as soon as execution enters the function, it exits with a true value.

If anyone thinks this is too dangerous, please let me know (hopefully please also suggest a better one).

Thanks (and if this was dumb, please don't laugh too hard - I did say I was a newbie).

Hi,

A silly newbie question, most likely, but help would be appreciated:

I just cloned the main template set and set the new one as default, in order to make a change to the login block template.

After the change was submitted, and I went back to the homepage, and was surprised to see all the links in the main menu block were gone.

Does anyone know how to get them back?

Thanks very much.

Me too. REALLY strange.

I have nothing, literally nothing in the way of security or firewall installed. I even turned off XP's firewall.

Anyone know anything?
