I would like a module that I can allow my users to not download an mp3 but listen to an mp3 by clicking on a button. It would be to allow readers to listen to a paragraph or two of a book before they purchase it. Any suggestions are welcome guys and as always, thanks bunches.

My apologies HTHs. I changed the links late yesterday to reflect just one combo form for both because of this problem. The link to the submit form is still working I just don't have any links to it from the pages of the site du to the fact that IE won't find it.

The url ishttp://www.myonlinemagazine.net/women/modules/liaise/?form_id=3 and when I paste it or the contact url that I am currenty usinghttp://www.myonlinemagazine.net/women/modules/liaise/?form_id=1 in to IE, it will only find the urlhttp://www.myonlinemagazine.net/women/modules/liaise/ therefor pulling up the #1 as it is the main form.

Thanks so much for the reply by the way.

EDIT: I just had a thought . . . I am using the module Simplified URL. Could that be the issue?

I use Liaise on my site where I have created and linked to two different forms. One link/form you will find titled MAILBOX which is a simple contact form. The other you should be able to find linked from the word SUBMIT. The form that Submit is linked to which ishttp://www.myonlinemagazine.net/women/modules/liaise/?form_id=3 - it does not find. Instead of finding the correct form that it is linked to it finds the following link/page/form and views it in the browser -http://www.myonlinemagazine.net/women/modules/liaise/?form_id=1 when you click on Submit even though I have double checked the href="http . . ." and I just can't figure it out. This is not a problem in mozilla but the problem is only in IE.

I am using Liaise 1.5 with XOOPS version 2.2.4. Any thoughts at all on this issue would be much better than my current and total state of confusion. ha-ha

I have had to give up weblog because of trackback spam and am moving over to the wordpress module (www.xoopsforge.com) however this does not have thje ability to display articles as webpages and the wordpress hacks that do this do not work on the wordpress module.

I just finished switching over to WordPress for the article section in my womens magazine and just tinkered with the code in the templates a little bit to adjust the layout as I wanted it. I also code my own custom navigation blocks. Take a peek if you like . . .

the article index
a specific category page
a specific article

It is different than the article module I was using before and I did have to edit an email form to use as an article submission page because I can't get the section where the -user creates a post for me to authorize- to work correctly yet but the SEO is TOP NOTCH. Great trade off I think!

I also wanted to point out a couple of little SEO tidbits that I had read a few years ago while learning html.

1. Google doesn't like anymore than about five words in the <title> tags.

2. Meta tags in a certain order such as . . .
<title><{$xoops_pagetitle}></title>
<
meta name="keywords" content="<{$xoops_pagetitle}>, <{$xoops_meta_keywords}>" />
<
meta name="description" content="<{$xoops_pagetitle}>, <{$xoops_meta_description}>" />
<
meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=<{$xoops_charset}>" />
<
meta http-equiv="content-language" content="<{$xoops_langcode}>" />
<
meta name="robots" content="<{$xoops_meta_robots}>" />
<
meta name="rating" content="<{$xoops_meta_rating}>" />
<
meta name="author" content="<{$xoops_meta_author}>" />
<
meta name="copyright" content="<{$xoops_meta_copyright}>" />

3. Keep the # of keywords down to about eight or nine.

I don't know all around how much of a difference this stuff makes but when I built my first couple of site which almost strictly consisted of html, I used these rules of thumb and my sites usually did very well in the search engines. As a matter of fact they have slipped waaaay down since switching to XOOPS but I wanted dynamic and safe so you do what you have to. I am since learning more about XOOPS combined with good SEO practices which I am hoping to see positive returns on soon. I still need to link from one page to another using key word in my article content and such.

Hang in there. It will be worth the wait.

I was getting ready to install a newsletter module.

Does this mean that I should wait because it is only a matter of weeks?

When I first installed XOOPS this was not an issue as the emails were text emails but it at least appears that after an update to 2.2.3a, now when ever receive a XOOPS site generated email that it comes as an attachment in the email instead of text its self. For me this is not an issue but for my user I would prefer it be as a normal text email and not as an attachemnt with html code that most users would not understand. Anyone know what might be up and what I might due to fix the problem?

Thanks up front as always,
Lana
