Im still not understanding.. My XOOPS folder itself is called

FORUMS which is under my public_html

Forums/modules/newbb is there..

Under forums/uploads I do not have a newbb, with no newbb folder under uploads I dont have a thumbs either??

Im unsure what the modules for newbb2 have to do with it?

I want tomake sure Im doing this correct..


The folder uploads and newbb and inside newbb thumbs you must set the permission 777 via chmode. The mimetype setiing you can find in the folder newbb\class - here mimetype.php

Forum/Uploads must be set to 777? AND
the Forum/uploads/newbb must be set to 777?
AND
the
Forums/uploads/newbb/class must be set to 777?

Im asking because there is no newbb in my

forums/uplods at all anywhere - the path is correct as my XOOPS things are under (Forums) which is set under public_html

I am getting this error when I do a file upload..

Failed opening directory: /home/hoovenl/public_html/Forums/uploads/newbb
Failed opening directory with write permission: /home/hoovenl/public_html/Forums/uploads/newbb
MIME type not allowed: image/gif

I look in Forums/uploads/newbb and there is NO Newbb there so I cant set permissions to fix it.. I thought it was file type, but I switched them to different ones and they still arent uploading..

Images for the newbb2 have a .png with them.. I tried to create my own for the new posts, new posts unread etc ... IS it ok to remove the .png file??? after I replace it with my own image, or do I have to do it all with a .png.. IF so where can I get a .png creator?

Thank you!! I forgot to check them under Global access right in the forums section.. I did it the first time, but it was not showing, but after I Finished them they worked... Thanks a ton!!

ANYTHING from in forums..

I went through each forum and checked registered useres can view post, etc.... I log in as the test user and I cant SEE a thing.. NO forums are listed NOR the catagory itself.. AS Admin I can see its all there

HOW DO I fix it?

Since I am still waiting I thought Id post for help on removing the HP, MP and EXP bar things? Im not even sure what they are used for... ALL help appreciated thanks

Figuring out where to change the *colors* of the links..

As of right now

Admin is Orange and Moderator is Green.. Id like to change those

The links themselves start out with white *on greyish background* and when you click are an orange.. Id like to change those as well..

Also those images that are used for the main options, search forums etc.... In the navy blue button Id like to fix the color to those..

Can some one help guide me to where they are changed?

BY the way, thanks for the Flash HELP! It was great to use it because I was LOST doing this myself for the first time.. Usually my husband does it, but wanted to try it outmyself!!
