Sure??? Did you try to use this resource for making vital and responsible (in terms of money) solution?

Try to answer (using only OpeensourceCMS) on such question "What is - Mambo or Drupal or eZPublish - better choice for building multilanguage Corporate Presence and why?!"

What on earth are you babbling on about??

The topic question was:
mambo vs xoops: Which are the main differences?

Did you even read the original posters topic? I did and I responded correctly with a link to a site that already has XOOPS and Mambo running where they can compare the basic functions of each of the CMS's themselves.

Geeze what is your deal??

I thought it was possible to set a FIXED Screen.. So no matter what size you are using, you will see it all fit into your screen?

My screen settings are high yes.. so my images and things are NOT so big... It was driving me crazy having them that big..

So if anyone knows how to get a fixed screen/background? Id appreciate your help.

Thnx

Did you read the replies here?? We gave you the answer. There is no other way.

It does not matter if you have a FIXED width on your website or not. If your images are bigger than your width, then it is going to stretch.

The ONLY way for you to fix your site so the width is NOT too wide is to decrease the width of the center image on your main page.
There are no two ways about it.

Your BIG image in the middle is 700 pixels wide. Add the blocks on both sides and you are over 900 pixels wide.

Decrease the width of your center image

That site is just for that. Users who can't load every darn CMS on their system in order to get a "reasonable long exploration course"

You can compare and test drive most any CMS and Portal you can think of.

Use thepod's advice.
You need to run your css style sheet thru the validator.

You want to make your site usable by all the different browsers, so designing with all browsers in mind is a great tip for web-owners and webdesigners. I have Firefox, Opera, Netscape, IE all loaded on my machine and I regularly check my sites with each browser when I make design changes.

Are you running IIS on WinXP or another Webserver App?

I use and highly recommend this:

http://www.appservnetwork.com/

It installs PHP,MySQL and Apache on your local WinXP machine. I actually like the control better than running the standard IIS in XP. Wonderful adn easy to use.

It sounds like PHP is not started on your server, but you say other PHP scripts run...wierd.
Also, do you know the version of PHP you are running?
PHP5 may give you some problems with certain scripts.

To check your php version, copy and paste this in a text file and save as phpinfo.php.

<?php
phpinfo
()
?>

upload to your root directory then point your browser to
http://localhost/phpinfp.php

You are missing a } or { or what the heck ever, somewhere in that script.
Has it been modified?

2nd. error.

sure would be nice if your topic title more reflected your problem. That way when others search for a similar issue, they can easily find your topic.

I'm sure everyone knows you need help, why else would you be here?
