Fixed No. 2 (commented out code in the modules/newbb/header.php).

Also noticed that the template number is still showing in RED in the Template Set Manager...

Forums [List (20)]

...even though the module was updated. I tried to manually update the templates one by one but no change. Dumping the files from the templates_c directory has no effect either.

Edit: There's a definite problem with word wrap in this module. I've attempted to post a new topic and there is no recognition of paragraphs or normal type spacing---all of the text runs together as one sentence followed by the next. I need to fix this ASAP.

As per jdseymour's suggestion and help, I've updated to the latest CBB version. Everything looks good so far, but there are a few things that I need to remedy yet:

1. When replying to (or using 'quote') a post, the "bb code" doesn't work. I didn't have this issue with Newbb 1, but now I do.

2. In the "Main" and "Forum Options" drop-down menus, I need to get rid of "CLICK" and "HOVER" but can't seem to find where to do this.

3. If I attempt post this exact same message (for example),
there's a word wrap problem---all the text runs together as if it's one large paragraph, rather than appearing the way it does here at this Xoop.org post. Again, I didn't have this issue with Newbb 1.

4. I also need to get rid of the "Send this post to a news story" link and image (that appears next to the PDF image) but can't find where to do this.

Any suggestions? Thank you.

With PHP/MySQl debug on, this is what displays:

As I mentioned earlier, I followed the instructions from your flash tutorial---in order:

1. Delete the 'old' newbb 1 directory.

2. Upload the new newbb 2 files into the modules directory.

3. Run the Updater.

4. Update the module.

5. Set permissions.

6. Update the templates.

I've checked the database and all xoops_bb tables exist (with the few errors listed in my last post). So what am I missing?

Table error messages found so far:

xoops_bb_archive states "No index defined!"

xoops_bb_online states "No index defined!"

xoops_bb_posts states "More than one INDEX key was created for column `topic_id`"

xoops_bb_topics states "PRIMARY and INDEX keys should not both be set for column `topic_id`"

I just checked and I have ALL PRIVELEGES set for my user account. I also checked and found some database errors (tables not being closed), all associated with newbb2 so I ran Repair and fixed them. However, I ran the updater again and it still isn't working. Should I just go back to Newbb 1---is there a Newbb 2 compatibility issue with XOOPS 2.0.7.3?

I can access everything else, so why is this the issue? Is it a CHMOD permissions problem with Newbb 2 that I missed?

I followed the instructions from the flash tutorial for the upgrading Newbb1 to Newbb2---however, the Newbb 2.0 Updater did NOT work...what did I miss?

Step 3:

Drop deprecated Tables
Could not drop xoops_bb_forum_access
Could not drop xoops_bb_forum_mods

The most noticeable issue is that even though all the posts remain, the authors of the posts are only shown as "Guest_"...how do I fix this??

Clearing fields in Liaise forms

I have several defaults set for form fields that I'd like to disappear when a user clicks the element to fill it in...So, I need to use onfocus="this.value=''"; for the default elements in our forms but I'm not sure where to add this in the Liaise files. Can someone point me in the right direction here?
