Re: Frameworks? Random Bug?

Ok... I'm using frameworks and the editor listed here with the CBB. Still getting the blank page when I go to read a forum posting. Debug info says:

Quote:
Fatal error: main() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/home/myroot/public_html/Frameworks/xoops22/class/xoopseditor/xoopseditor.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/myroot/public_html/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php on line 577

I used these three together on my XOOPS 2.0.17 installations (three of 'em) without a problem.

Perhaps you could try this combination?

CBB 3.08 can be found on the dev site - click here to download

Frameworks 1.10 is here

xoopseditors 1.10 is here

This is the combination I use - try it

Will do, the only unknown in this variable is that I don't know what version of xoopseditors I'm using...

Frameworks? Random Bug?

My lividness is well known with XOOPS as of late, so I'll save that for now...

I'm using 2.0.17 (or so says the admin page at the bottom) and I'm using CBB 3.05, and I thought I finally fixed all of my "blank page" troubles, but I cannot for the life of me fix this latest one...

I can use the functions of the forum just fine, and posts are showing up after a submit, but right after the submit and again when you try to view the page, it's bloody blank again!

I would give up at this point, but I've already developed the content for the site and switching back now would mean hours more of customization with a CMS I have no experience with.

I know you guys are tired of seeing the same posts over and over again, but how about a sticky with this kind of stuff in it that's easy to find in the search box eh? :P

I've uploaded Frameworks (1.2 doesn't work, 1.1 works, but I have this problem) and I have the new class folder uploaded as well. What is the dealio?

I've nearly had it...

When I first started using Xoops, it just worked. I installed it, I installed modules that were included with the default ZIP, and the bloody thing WORKED.

I have spent 3 days between posts on these forums, the dev forums and many more on google trying to figure out why I get blank pages when I do stupid silly things like update a module because I made a change (within the panel, not with the raw code) or because I want to change the readouts on a poll.

What really bothers me is that the default installation of XOOPS does NOT include the modules that it used to come with.

Sure, I can go find the modules from the downloads page, but this site has gone the way of the dodo in terms of what's available to me to use.

Fine, I admit, I want something turnkey, but that's what XOOPS was when I found it. Does anyone have a zip file of the core XOOPS CMS with the WORKING versions of Poll, Forums, and all the other addons without it being open to every security breach out there? I won't touch the other CMS SYstems because I think they're clumsy and unrefined. I'm going to add XOOPS to that soon because it's getting stupid how I have to refer to articles written 2+ years ago on subject matter that was updated a week ago.

part of this problem is also with the dev site. It's impossible to find anything (I can't find links worth anything because they blend in so well with the normal text).

Sorry guys, I'm just not one of these code jockies that can dive into the code and fix something myself. I'm decent with the basics, but I've watched XOOPS singlehandedly fall from grace and it annoys me.

I'm still open to packages that just flat out work, but I'm not going to sit and troubleshoot blank pages until I'm blue in the face. I'm done with that part.

nevermind, my bad.

Local File Links

I'm using one of my systems at home for a local intranet system and wouldn't you know it, I am using XOOPS for the management.

I wanted to know, does anyone know how to set it up in XOOPS so that I can link to local folders to everyone else on the network (i.e. a photo share).

For example, one of the locations on the system is:

\\home\OIF\

I can't put that into the downloads URL because then whatever browser is being used tries to open it in the browser (firefox and IE) and thus we can't access it.

I'm also open to modules written specifically for this purpose, though I'm not sure what to search for, otherwise I'd have looked myself.

Re: Extinct?

I did actually - but I can't quite get the gradients right. If I could get a hold of the original files (PSD or PSP files) I'd be thrilled, but as of yet... :(

I'm open to pointers however. I have the source (before a theme installation, so it's "virgin") and can go from there.

Extinct?

Does anyone have any ideas on how to get a hold of either a theme author, or a way to change one of the theme's color templates?

I really like the style & layout of 4thefort, but it's blue... and it doesn't quite jive well with my chosen alignment... it should be pretty obvious... (I want the blue portions to be a shade of green - messing with CSS won't fix this since most of the items in question are image files)

Re: XOOPS path check: Script is not inside XOOPS_ROOT_PATH and cannot run.

You know, I wonder why that didn't show up in my searches. Thank you for pointing it out (and not berating my obvious substandard search result)

XOOPS path check: Script is not inside XOOPS_ROOT_PATH and cannot run.

I am getting that error message. The reason behind this was because of a domain name switch. I edited the mainfile.php to have the assets of the new domain, but apparently I am missing something?

As far as the files go, everything is still there and the only thing that changed (that I know of) is the domain name from one name to another.
