Don't know the reason of your doing that. It would be a major task for each poll - clone your template, change the template, update the template, then change the template back, update your template again. I am not sure if you want to do that. But why not showing results?

It's a class poll, in which the instructor wants students to select and rate 5 potential speakers for the class. He doesn't want the students to know the results because ultimately he can't guarantee that this speaker will be able to come to the class.

I'm also looking at open source PHP surveys that have the functionality that I am looking for (not only majority vote but also rating).

Thanks for your advice, tl. I know that I only need to find the template file and get rid of the button there, and then later reactivate it for a short time just to download the poll results for myslef. I just figured smb must've already done it.

I'm new to XOOPS but I should say that I really like the way modules are implemented, and the community here is quite active. I'm sorry that I made an ass of myslef by cross-posting.

I am not an avid user of discussion forums in general, and I see now that I must've violated a major ethics law here. My apologies.

I also don't want to be treated like an asshole. I had used the Search function (thanks for your clever insight TL) and found no relevant information. I have also posted this question earlier but the friendly XOOPS community never bothered to respond in any way. At least I got some angry people this time :)

What make you think posting three times would get your answers faster??

If you are not getting any answers, then you know why. It is seen as plain rude to double-post or triple post here.

Thanks for the time you took to express your anger. I only posted this in three forums because there is NO forum called Module Hacks. Just Hack reviews.

Anyway, I wish you'd better spent all that energy on giving me some advice on how to solve the problem.

Can anybody tell me how to remove the Results button in the Poll side and center block? I don't want my users to know the results of the poll.

Thanks for your help.

Has anybody tried to temporarily remove the "Results" botton from the Poll? Is there a quick way to do it? I don't want my website users to see the results until I am finished collecting their votes.

One other thing: the link to Results is displayed not only in the block but also in the main Polls window. If possible, I'd like to get rid of this link, too.

Thanks a bunch.

I am trying to make a custom page with XOOPS 2.0.7.3. I also need to be able to link this page to the Main Menu. This is not a custom block, just a custom page linked to the menu. Is there a module that I need to install or is there an easier way?

Thanks for your help.
