What is the latest ver of MySQL can I use with the XOOPS 2.2 branch?

Currently I am using 4.0.23

I want to thank the devs for the wonderful support for this issue they have given... certainly they deserve awards they eargly want for their outstanding assistance... oh wait...

Even a "I dunno" or "look here" would be helpful

A member of my site at http://www.nwn2news.net posted the following as you can see here:

Is there a problem with the RSS news feed?

I keep getting the following from IE7:

An invalid character was found in text content. Line: 31 Character: 213

Others have PM'ed me similar issues, Any help appreciated.

Most recent SmartFAQ works good for me EXCEPT for "Sumbit a Q&A' option which returns a blank page (but I can add such via the admin side so its not that bad, just users cant submit only staff)

Aside from that I have not had a issue with SmartFAQ with 2.2.4

CBB 2.x default editor question

I am not sure what the proper options are for this entry in plugin.php:

// Set the default editor
$GLOBALS["xoopsModuleConfig"]["editor_default"] = "";

what are the correct options to put in the quotes? For example I want koivi as my default editor, yet I tried "koivi" and "koivi editor" have no effect.

Any help appreciated.

And let me throw in my 2 coppers... When I went from NewBB2 to CBB it refused to read from the NewBB db. CBB would work fine until they tried to read a post/thread. Blank page. When I tried to revert back to NewBB2 the admin panel would give me a blank page.

My only course of action was to uninstalled NewBB2 and install fresh CBB and it correct the issue. Sadly I lost 18 months of postings.

FYI, do make a db backup before you upgrade.

A problem I have had for the past few vers is with the whos online block it only shows people in 'news' or the 'message forum' and thats it.

Basically if they are not in the forum it shows them in 'news' no matter where they are. I am told this is a bug in CBB that effects the core of xoops.
