I use phpkaox as my style for my website. As I test it with different screen pixels that I change from 800 X 600 to 1024 X 768 pixels, all tables and contents of my index page expand to fit the full screen. This make some of settings to be distorted, i.e. there is a lot of space in between the border of a table and a picture. When I look at the Yahoo! or some websites after I change the pixels to 1024 X 768, they fit the settings and all contents & tables are placed at center, no distorion. How to do that?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks! Your websites have very good designs. You can delete the right block in register page. How to do that?

Thanks & regards,
Doug

Thanks adjuden! You are genius. My web page is still working on. I finally find out what the problem is. The names of places in the timezone is too long so that I delete some of them. Then the width of left column becomes what I want. BTW I do not want to show that block.

Cheers,
Doug

Thank you very much, ajuden! I try again but still there is no effect of the register form. I think that the problem is due to there is no enough space for the column to expand. As I see the register form in this website, the right block - system_block_login.html is omitted in register.php. How can I do that?

Cheers,
Doug

Hi ajuden,

I have tried both width=200 and width=200px but the result still the same, i.e. no effect. I type in Style Sheet not in php file.

.odd { background-color: #FFFFFF;}
.outer { background-color: #CCCCCC;}
.even { background-color: #FFFFFF;}
th { background-color: #FFFFFF; text-align: left; padding: 3px;}
.head { cellspacing=6 ;background-color: #ccffff; padding: 3px;}
.foot { background-color: #FFFFFF; padding: 3px;}

Thanks again,
Doug

Thanks ajuden, I can now change the color but the width of the left column cannot be changed. As I set width=200 or cellspacing=6 of "head", there is no effect but the other table using class=head do have the effect. Why? I use FireFox's DOM Inspector still cannot find the answer.

Thanks again
Doug

Dear all,

I want to change the layout of register form. The original settings are the left column (i.e. register name, Email, etc) is too narrow and without any colour. I want to change the width of the left column to be longer and with light blue color. I have checked about style.css and register.php but still cannot find any hint. Where can I change settings? Please help.

Thanks & regards,
Doug

Activation mail Error after creating an new account
Hi ,

I try to test my site made by XOOPs 2.07. After clicking "Finish" in the new account creation. A statement comes out as:

"You are now registered. However, we were unable to send the activation mail to your email account due to an internal error that has occurred on our server. We are sorry for the inconvenience, please send the webmaster an email notifying him/her of the situation"

In my admin account, I go to System Admin->Mail Setup and change different info many times in order to get it running but still fail. I spend one day already and become crazy. I ask my web hosting and they tell me there is no problem of their server. It should be my problem.

How do I fill in the info in Mail Setup in order to solve the problem? I fill the info as follows:

From Address:
From Name:
From User:
Mail Delivery Method: PHP mail ()
Path to sendmail: /usr/sbin/sendmail
SMTP host (s): mail.myhosting.net
SMTP Auth username: Webmaster@mysite.com
SMTP Auth password: ******

I check all the manual of XOOPs and cannot find any hints. I read the past posts about this topic but still can't help any. I am newbie and please help. Thanks in advance!
