McNaz, thanks for your input. Maybe I have not made myself clear. My question is that why the 2nd css link exists. if I need to replace it(not to add a new one), where should I change?

Hi All,

Please take a look at my problem and advise. Thanks!

(newbb3, xoops2.2)
There are two css files that have been specified in most pages of newbb module:

<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="templates/newbb.css" />

<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="http://www.mysite.com/themes/mytheme/css/newbb.css" />

For the first one, I know it is specified in 'newbb/header.php', but I cannot figure out where and how does the 2nd entry be introduced. (PS. the conf_name 'theme_set' with title '_MI_THEMESET' has no value in database).

If you guys could give me a hint, it will be greatly appreciated.

Hi LazyBadger,

Thanks for your 'only ideas', by following your ideas I successfully have this problem sorted!!!! Thank you very much!!

The solution:
I just set session.cookie_domain param to my domain as ".mydomain.com", so that the cookie's scope expand to all subdomains (the default is only in www.mydomain.com). Fairly easy hah?

I have successfully configured a .htaccess and made it work. The following is a sample for the rewrite result:
A: user.sitename.com/blog
will be mapped to:
B: www.sitename.com/modules/blog/index.php?username=user

Yes, as many of you can image, when I logged to this site (www.sitename.com) and click a URL such as A, the expected page will be loaded, together with the problem, that is, the logged status was changed, $xoopsUser was changed to NULL. My question is how to keep the logged status as the right user when I use the URL such as A which is mentioned above. Millions Millions thanks ahead!

Hi all,

The requirement is simple, if anyone know any module similar, I will very appreciate your update.

The situation is described below,
When a nomral registered user completes an application form, which stores additional user info, in another Database table different from user_profiles maybe, he then will automatically be changed to a member of another user group.

I have not found any useful words about this so far. Thanks all in advance, for your help.

hi batdevis, thanks for the update. what puzzles me most is how to implement a module to use different themes, which are totally different from the globle one, even the page head, foot. And users can select different theme within this module, not globle one. In this case, I am afraid the css solution could not make it sorted.
btw, I am using XOOPS 2.2. Any advice will be appreciated. thanks again.

Hi all,
am just wondering is there a quick way to use sub domain to substitute a module path. pls take the following example:
A_URL: bbs.mydomain.com
B_URL: www.mydomain.com/modules/newbb/

My question is how to use A_URL to subsitute all the B_URL, so that this link:
http://www.mydomain.com/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=1632&forum=15&post_id=12199#forumpost12199
will be changed to
http://bbs.mydomain.com/viewtopic.php?topic_id=1632&forum=15&post_id=12199#forumpost12199

Any update will be greatly appreciated. Thanks ahead.
