I've seen a similar post, and this has probably been answered, but I don't know what to enter for a search to find the right thread.

I'm using Mozilla Firefox, and when I log in, the Spotlight, recent topics, and wf-section recent blocks all hang out on the left side of the center block. With IE6, they all line up nicely. I know that IE is the evil deamon that doesn't do things right, so how do I get firefox to display things wrong like IE? (in other words, right).

The answer here folks is that that link Catz has posted is old stuff. Go to http://wfsections.xoops2.com/modules/mydownloads/ and download it. It seems from here the code has been updated, although meme's fix hasn't been applied yet.

For my 2nd issue, meme's code worked great (thanx also for posting that on Catz site so that it can get added). My other problem is still that I'm getting no news story in my spotlight, even after reinstalling it with the supposedly patched code. Any ideas? How would I debug this?

2 things.

First, I have uninstalled, removed the module, redownloaded and reinstalled and am still getting the same problem about spotlight saying there are 'no news items selected'. Something else I need to do?

Second, when I go to click on the edit news at the bottom of the spotlight admin news block section, they are pointing to invalid locations. I moved everything from the webroot / to /xoops/ and yet the links for edit and delete article are showing up as /modules instead of /xoops/modules, etc. Are these links static in some regard?

And of course I spoke a little too soon. One thing to note is that I think you need to have the option turned on to read the theme from file. I went into the database and turned that on, and the site re-established everything correctly. So almost as simple as you said. I was able to turn my site back on and now all is well. (Hopefully I"m not speaking too soon when I say that.

Um, it doesn't appear to be that easy after all. My site is moved to a XOOPS dir, and I updated that file, but when I go to log back into my site, it says that it's looking for user.php in / instead of /xoops and can't find it. Therefore I can't log back in, and my site isn't working. Any ideas?

Awesome. XOOPS is great for how portable it is. Thank you for the prompt reply!

I currently have XOOPS in my webroot, but want to move it to a XOOPS directory. What would I do to set the paths right when I move it from / to /xoops? Is there anything else I'd need to do (database, etc)?

A user requested today that I have a way for users to be notified when a private message comes in or have the private message forwarded to them via email. The only thing I found searching the forums was something about hacking notification.php. As I'm not much of a coder, I just wanted ot know if people found a way to do this or if there is a setting I can set to do this?

Awesome. That was just what I was looking for. Obviously I don't understand CSS very well, because I don't quite understand what .outer had to do with making the table header's black. Thank you for your help though. I'm glad it works.
