ooops, sorry for the confusion. my post poorly expessed. I was using one example and didn't articulate myself well.
Slapped myself on the wrist and getting back on topic.

so back at the ranch..

How dificult would it be to place a search area on that final page.

I think putting the docs, FAQ and a xoops.org search on that last page would cover everything. Not sure if that realistic or not, but would save one more click that redirects you. Results can come up in a new window so that you can then switch back to that last page and bring up docs or faqs.

m0nty, the last page is only viewed once. By the time you discover you need help, that page is most likely gone because you've just clicked on the 'view my site'? button and gotten the blk pg problem.

However, it would be good to have it there as a starting point also. Since if you do get the blk pg you can always backup to the last page and then start your (re)search.

I recently switched from PostNuke to Xoops. I'd suggest looking at what comes up the first time you install PN. There is a simple welcome statement and then links to FAQs and Documentation on their support site. They have instructions on how to remove this message from the home page!

I think this is also needed. I was surprised the first time I installed XOOPS because there was nothing on the home page. I was not sure (for about 2 mins) if the install was actually successful or not.

I have 5 sites and they are all going over to Xoops. 2 down, 3 to go. Did the 2nd one today in 3 hours. Everything. Brilliant.

Finally an offer. I think I'm not too bad at writing documentation, so if someone from the docs department wants to drop me a line and a topic, I'll push out a draft.

This is not a weather module, but does provide one of the best weather displays round.

www.weatherpixie.com

Enter language, location etc and then use the get html code from the site.

Past this into a new html block and place the block where you want it.

I just noticed that in the News 1.1 module that comes with the latest XOOPS, in the "Set the date/time of publish" and the "Set the date/time of expiration" Time field for secondsa, there is both "00" and "60".

Shouldn't this be the range 00~59?

What happens if you set it to 60?

Cheers

Hey the voting is still open and it's the 4th today? I'm assuming you mean until the 3rd. XOOPS server time...where ever that is. Obviously not in this time zone

Does anyone know in what order the "Who's Online" module displays the usernames? Is it by login time? Last access time? Account creation date/time?

Just curious. Luck I'm not a cat.

putting OMFG aside for a second, I thought the trailing off 'you dumb ass' was the hilight of the show. Play it again with the sound turned right up and go into the next room.

Sounds like a late night cable commercial!
