Hello,

i have a problem with some modules and xoops themes. If i choose a theme different from the default theme the appearance of some modules is horrible. For example the ipb_blue_2 theme with the download modules WF-downloads or TDMdownload. The alternative theme scrambles the whole layout of the download module pages. Is there any trick to prevent this bad influence of themes on the modules appearance? Like it is now, the modules are practicably unusable.

oh, too early happy. It doesnt work, there is something strange with the visibillity settings. i added "visible for registered Users to vie profile of registered users" XOOPS added the rule 3 times, i cannot delete them anymore. Also adding new rules does not work.

Actually also the standard fields have multiple entries for the same rule.

Is there anybody having a Profile module in XOOPS 2.5.5 working without problems of the "visibility" setting?

2012/5/4:

There is a serious issue for "fields". While i can add and delete "categories" the "fields" can only be created but not deleted, even though all operations were confirmed ("Error, none"). The visibility settings in "Permissions" still does not work at all. Neither delete existing visibility rules, nor adding new rules.

i solved it. I didn't notice that the permission page in administrator menu has a dropdown box which can switch from 'edit' to 'visibility'. Now i am searching in which database table the custom fields are stored :)

Hi,

i am setting up a new portal using XOOPS. I have a problem with category and fields of user profile. I added a new category and a field connected to the category in the administration menu. Both got a weight. After this i updated the modules system and profiles. in the database i see new entries in the profile tables. However, the users table of XOOPS did not get the new field.

If i now edit the profile and save it, the xoops system shows a popup with "saved successful". However, the new entry does not appear in the profile.

Anybody an idea? i have the feeling it is either a problem ao access rights of xoop files or it cannot save it in the database.

Regarding rights i am still unsure which of the plenty files and folders of xoops need which rights. is there any tutorial for the rights?

Greets
