Hi all,

I'm using NewBB 4.0 and Xoops 2.5.5 unmodified from SVN. I have 700 forum members and all going pretty well. However, certain members are being dumped to the site's error 404 page when they attempt to edit one of their own posts.

- File permissions are set correctly.
- Forum Preferences are set for no time limit (0) for modifying/deleting posts.
- When I log in as administrator I can edit the post without problems.

I *think* the problem is somehow related to the file bb_reads_forum file. I see no entries there for those affected. Therefore I'd appreciate if someone could explain the purpose of this file, and how it may impact user edits.

The URL in question is of the format
http://[SITENAME]/modules/newbb/edit.php?topic_id=1508&post_id=12907

Thank you for any assistance.

- Tom

Hi there,

Thank you for XCenter...video and demo look great. On the demo site I didn't see an input field for adding tags to content, or am I missing something?

Thanks,

- Tom

Update: Time to visit optician. It's there. Apologies.

Module name on Main Menu

Hi all,

I'm making nice progress on getting Xoops up and running, very happy so far.

I have installed modules such as piCal and ForumEx. They appear on the main menu with these module names. On the main menu I'd like to change their names to something more user-friendly such as "Events Guide" and "Discussion Forum". What is the best way to achieve this?

In a similar vein I notice different themes have different pre-configured menu items which I would like to also modify to match my installation. How best to achieve?

Many thanks,

- Tom
