I am searching for the following feature with my 2 XOOPS sites. hopefully this is possible with mysql

I got 2 startrek sites. with its own MySQL database.

i want the 2 sites to be almost identical. So they are have the same users, guestbook entries. etc.
this would work if you use only one database, but i want diffrent news and some diffrent blocks on the 2 sites so they have there own Database

Is it possible that you use some kind of MySQL simlinks ?

one site connects to database 1 and the other one to database 2

it is posible to "symlink" a table in database 2 to an table in database 1?
(this way the other site can use the same users as the other one)

another solution world be db replication, but is REALTIME replication possible specifying only tables replication? instead of a whole DB?

EDIT: XOOPS VERSION 2.2.X
MYSQL VERSION 4.1.X

Thank for the clear explanation. It makes sense now why it behaves the way it does.

You will need to adjust the block loop in theme.html for the CC block above the CL and CR block loops.

thnx for the reply, i will take a look at your solution, but should'nt a block with a higher weight be displayed below a block with a lower weight value ?

This problem only appeared when i upgraded tot xoop2 2.2.2, it wasnt a problem (with the same theme) when i was running XOOPS 2.0

Since i upgraded my XOOPS to 2.2, i have a problem rearranging my starting page, in the Center of the page there a 2 blocks-> Centerblock-Left and Centerblock-right with both the same Weight value(1) so that there are positioned next to each other.

And Below these blocks should be a block positioned "Centerblock-center" and when i add this one with a higher weight value(3) then the ones above , it keeps apearing above the other 2 blocks

This problem is with every theme i try (so its not theme related) and the problem appeared with XOOPS 2.2

Hello,

Im busy with a startrek site and, i am wondering if it is possible to display a diffrent theme every links

Example,, the default (main page) the visitor gets the default theme, and if they open the "BORG" section on the site so they get a other(green) theme automatic.

Is this possible?
