different startpage depending on language

Hi, I have an urgent question:

I have Smartlanguage 2.0.7/ XOOPS 2.0.16 installed and I would like to select a different startpage depending on the language.

I used Myhome to redirect to a smartsection article that holds the different languages ([nl]tekst[/nl][en]text[/en][de]...)
that worked fine to display the right language, but when the author changes the file via the edit button below the page (not via the administration) it only displays the current language and also saves only this language. Result, everytime the article is changed, the other startpage language parts are gone.

I can't give the author of the file admin access...

Is there a way to tell XOOPS to automaticly use www.mysite.com/modules/smartsection/item.php?itemid=35 for the NL language, www.mysite.com/modules/smartsection/item.php?itemid=36 for the EN language and so on?

thank you for the quick replies (please...)

For now I use the Bulletin module from RMSOFT, though the module has been removed recently from the XOOPS-Mexico website. This module 'works' for me, although with some bugs.

It's still available on Xoops-Mexico here

I think XOOPS realy need a decent e-commerce module! I know there's OScommerce etc, but it's to bulky and not made for xoops.

I think a good module should be fully integrated and easy to manage for clients. I've been using Cubecart on several sites as a stand alone shop, very powerfull, and not to big, and there are a lot of modules available for it.

I would be happy to pay for such a module for xoops, even donate to a project!

I think it should have the following:

* Categories with image, with the ability to have a product in more than one category.
* Multiple Currencies with selection abbility
* multiple images per product
* Title, description and item number per product
* normal & sale prices
* product weight (for shipping)
* product options (like color or size or ...)
* stock level (ultimately connected to the options)
* Digital and tangible goods
* Ability to sell mp3's, with preview (maybe as a plug-in)
* Possibility to store downloadable products outside the http public folder and set limit to the amount of download attempts and time.
* Related products
* view orders (admin) - Pending, completed, ...
* A field for the manufacturer
* Payment gateways
* shipping calculation: Flat rate, Weight, per Category, per item, percent?
* Maybe extra custom fields
* Product rating
* A block to showcase x latest products
* A block with x random products

Any thoughts on this, or somebody allready working on it?

Thx Tijs

You did set the number of quotes to show in the block configuration, right?

I forgot to check this, it was set to display 1 quote, but when I changed it to 2 quotes, they show without errors, and at random!!
When I changed it back to 1 quote, the quote dissappears again, and the errors are back...

I hope this helps with a sollution, if not: I thank you VERY much for your effort! I can use it with 2 qoutes meanwhile, so it's all good!!

heheh now the block shows but without any content
and the follow error appears:

NoticeUndefined indexin file /modules/rmmf/blocks/rmmf_recent.php line 87
Notice
Undefined indexin file /modules/rmmf/blocks/rmmf_recent.php line 88
Notice
Undefined indexcliente in file /modules/rmmf/blocks/rmmf_recent.php line 90

If you can't find the problem: don't worry, I'll get a seperate quote module and enter the quotes there too so they appear in a block...

Hi there,

I'm using RM soft's MyFolder for my portofolio.
It has a build in field for a comment from the Client about the work.
These comments can be displayed in a block but it isn't random, it takes the last x comments.

Is there an easy way to get it to pull a random quote instead of the last ones?

I think this is the php code from the block:

function rmmf_bk_comments($options){

$db =& Database::getInstance();

$myts =& MyTextSanitizer::getInstance();

$result $db->query("SELECT * FROM ".$db->prefix("rmmf_works")." ORDER BY id_w DESC LIMIT 0,$options[0]");

$block = array();
    while (
$row $db->fetchArray($result)){

$rtn = array();

$rtn['id'] = $row['id_w'];

$rtn['titulo'] = $row['titulo'];

$rtn['texto'] = $myts->makeTareaData4Show($row['comentario']);

$rtn['cliente'] = $row['cliente'];

$block['works'][] = $rtn;
    }
    return
$block;
}

function
rmmf_bk_comments_edit($options){

$form _BK_RMMF_NUMCOMMS."<br /><input type='text' size='5' name='options[]' value='$options[0]' />";
    return
$form;
}

And this is the block template:

<{foreach item=work from=$block.works}>
<
div style="font-size: 10px; text-align: right;">
    <
span style="font-style: italic;">"<{$work.texto}>"</span><br />
    <
a href="<{$xoops_url}>/modules/rmmf/view.php?id=<{$work.id}>"><{$work.cliente}></a>
</
div><br />
<{/foreach}>

I think it's an easy one if your good with php/mysql, which I'm not
