nope it doesn't add an album. when you click the link to add album it just reloads the page. I tried to go in and look at some of the other files. and I can open them but they do not seem to work I get errors when I click the submit buttons and stuff.

Do you see an option to 'add photos', or 'properties',etc.. after adding the album?

then I wen tot the gallery page and clicked [new album]
and the page just seams to reload. album.php does get added to the url but the page looks the same. I do not seem to be able to make any changes to the album

Did you create a category first?
if yes, ok... if not start creating a category before creating a forum...
if you've created a category try the following:
- fill out all the fields
- for the forum's moderator you need to have it selected so the name should be highlighted (you can select multiple moderators by holding down the shift key)
- select the category and all other details in the dropdown boxes
this should work

hi there,
trying to generate a new (the first) forum failed:

"...You did not fill out all the parts of the form.
Did you assign at least one moderator? Please go back and correct the form."

i've filled out all fields for certain ! a moderator was chosen.

btw:
generating categories before ends in blank fields, perhaps this is the cause.

xoops version 2 (download 18.2.03)
mysql Ver 11.18 Distrib 3.23.52

best regards
carsten

Problem was I have been in the habit of installing previous versions of XOOPS in /home/domain/public_html/php

Seems XOOPS 2 doesn't like /php and it's not recognised as a directory

I renamed the directory to /home/domain/public_html/xoops and the install went OK.

I have confirmed that the 'physical path' I have is correct

There is NO trailing slash.

The error I get from XOOPS 2 install is

"Could not detect the physical path to your XOOPS directory.
Physical path must be a directory."

Duh???
