This hack suffers from the same problem as the original hack in this thread. While it does not expose the login (uname) it exposes the uid and the password.

I'm sure that this feature can be introduced with the 2.0.x branch, though a few config items will have to be added. This will require the admin user to run an update script, of course. But I don't see this as a problem.

Hi Andrey,

there are two different Autologin hacks, one for using with the IBF Modul ( the Invision Board ) and one for using with the "normal" Versions of XOOPS 2.0.2 and 2.0.3

Linux
PHP Version 4.2.3
MYSQL 3.23.49 (I think that is right, got from the php info)

Is there anything else you like to know.

I can mail all smaller groups, and on other sites I run I can with smaller groups, but my main site has well over 1000 members, and I can't e-mail them to tell them about our new e-commerce shop or our new free and paid e-mail service.

I'm just guessing here, but it may be specific to our respective systems. What are you running? Mine is showing symptoms like -- but not exactly like yours.

I was registered. Has opened the specified page. But everything, that has found - only files for autologin in a module named IBF. Maybe I've been looking in a wrong way?

and I also vote for having this into xoops..this or something similar, I dont understand enough to talk about the security issues involved, but I believe it should be at least an option.

Thanks AndreyRa!

i am sure a lot of people here appreciate this work (I do at the very least . There has been discussions for ages on an autologin for xoops. BTW I am using an older version of a hack I found somewhere here, but it doesnt work in a very reliable way, so its great to have other options
