This has nothing to do with Publisher. This editor is part of XOOPS Core.

Just copy the XOOPS files from your original version. You might run the file check to see what files are missing.

No XOOPS version was released with missing icons in the Editor, so something must be wrong on your installation.

where would it be? in root/images?

I've gone through all the images, and I'm not ,missing any in the subdirs

what image is it supposed to be?

I don't know, but if you right-click in Chrome or Firefox on that missing image, it should show you a "Copy image URL" link, and this will tell you where it should be, and what is the name of the image

very strange

It's looking for an image from Extgallery, which I don't have installed

If I remember correctly, extGallery had a hacked file that was overwriting a XOOPS native file.

My guess is that you have installed extGallery in the past, and then removed it, but the hacked file remained.

Use Filecheck from your original XOOPS version to find out which files are different.

Or check in extGallery which file(s) were patched, and then copy back the original ones from whatever XOOPS version you have.

it replaces some of the "class" files, so that's probably where it is
