Hi All,

The Japanese I've used on my website in Forum Category Names, User Rank Titles, and in the content of forum posts themselves has all been garbled after I upgraded from 2.3.3 -> 2.4.4.

For example, this: 村長
has become this: 村長

Is there any way I can recover / undo this?

Thanks,

Probably only if you have backup.

Unless this change is due to UTF-8 conflict and your content is still intact inside the database.

Then you could export the table in question as SQL file, open in something like Notepad++, convert to "UTF-8 without BOM", and import the table back into the database.

Of course, before you do that, make an extra backup of your database, just in case...
