I would like to do a link banner that when one clicks on it takes him or her to another module and a new theme. (I am using defacer to switch themes) BUT I want first to use a splash page (hence index.html) that comes on first and then having links on this splash page that once clicked will take you to the theme.html file as normal.

Now if I was using 1 theme for the whole website I could have easily put this index.html file in the root folder but because I am using 3 different themes for 3 different modules and using Defacer to switch between themes, its a kind of a different story here......like having a top page for every theme chosen.

I know that in every theme folder there is an index.html tried to hack that but did not work........

if anyone has some suggestions please forward them here

I'm not quite sure i understood but...

Splash screen of site must be in site's root in x's case as index.html, if you want a splash screen for each of the 3modules then it will be in module's directory as index.html. eg(modules/news/index.html) and so on
