I have just installed version 2.4.2

I have installed the protector module, but im not sure how to setup the trust path thingy(does it come already setup?) because i was installing using an older setup guide and im not sure if protector was included then.

now that i have XOOPS all setup and running, how do i set it up so i dont need to direct my browser to website.com/xoops ?( i just want to type website.com)

1 • First solution

a) Move all files located in www/xoops/ in www/
b) Modify mainfile.php by removing /xoops cases
c) Export your database and use search / replace function with your editor (eg Notepad++) :
- search http://www.website.com/xoops and replace all cases by http://www.website.com
- search /root_path/.../www/xoops and replace all cases by /root_path/.../www
d) import updated database

Important : before manipulating database, make sure you made a backup !!


2 • Second solution

Go into host panel and - if possible - redirect your domain not on server root (/www) but to your site folder (www/xoops)

I believe this solution is more simple and above all allows you to host sereral sites, each placed in his directory.
