HTML code showing in forums after upgrade to 2.0.18.2

Since: 2005/3/26

After upgrading to 2.0.18.2, posts (at random) get html characters like
or whatever inserted. The forum is newbbex 1.3 and didn't do it before.

Has anyone seen this or know how to fix it? It's showing in the posts and in the signature part of the posts at random.
