I've got a question to whoever is wishing to answer and I hope that is the right place to ask.

Can someone tell me, as I've been absent from here for over a year, what is going on here as I'm slightly lost.

First, I remember there have been some significant issues between 2.0 and 2.1 or 2.2 supporters as well as a big difference in the code. Now, how does the 2.3 branch relate to that, does it stem from 2.0 branch or 2.2? What modules are compatible with it?

What is ImpressCMS? Where has it came from what branch of XOOPS is it based on?

ImpressCMS is a fork of XOOPS 2.0.17. Those who forked it are no longer part of this project.

There is currently one unified version of XOOPS - the 2.3.x version. This is a merging of the former 2.0.x and 2.2.x branches. There are no more XOOPS "branches", just one single version.

As a result of the above, there has been an outbreak of peace and harmony on here..... no more infighting, no factions supporting one branch or another, and we're moving forward to XOOPS 3.x which will be better than ever

You can upgrade to this from either former branch using the 2.3.1 full package.
