My website vtocity.com 's XOOPS program has now been attacked for a second time by hackers. The first time the hacker locked me out and screwed up everything. After reinstalling and rebuilding everything ( a solid week of effort), a second team of hackers has attacked and left their calling cards. They mostly mess with system blocks. Is there any patches, or solutions to stop these ?????s from messing with my site. Need Help !

Did you install Protector? This is always the first step to protect your side.

What version of XOOPS do you have installed? What modules and what versions?

Hi,

Too bad that folks are messing with your site.

Firstly, what version of XOOPS are you running, which modules and which versions of them? Generally speaking, you should use the latest XOOPS and modules as they will be the most secure.

Give is a list and will point you in the direction of any later versions that there may be.

Secondly, are you running GIJOE's Protector module? If not then this will make things a lot more secure. Get it from here:

PM me with your email address and I'll send you Madfish's installation guide; it's not as straightword an installation as most other modules.
