When the block menu type is set to "Drop Down", links always open in same window, even when set to "blank". Can this be changed, and, if so, how?

It uses html Select and so I don’t think the value of the options can use _blank....Not sure if it could be done by using onclick, etc, so that the url ends the value first with " and then place the onlclick after....
