Group Moderation CBB 3.05

Is it possible to set a group as a forum moderator.

We have a quite large community with about 20 Moderators.
At present they all have admin rights to the Forum module so they can edit & delete garbage and vulgar posts.

I would prefer to tighten security, remove the admin rights from the module and grant them moderator rights. I do not want to have a list of 20 names under each forum as moderators though.

I would prefer to assign them to a group, and make that group a moderator.

While this isnt my favorite option I found a way to remove the moderator names at the bottom of each forum.


Instructions to remove moderators names.

Make a backup of:
/modules/newbb/templates/newbb_index.html

Edit
newbb_index.html

Go to line 242
Should read:
<{$smarty.const._MD_MODERATOR}>: <{$forum.forum_moderators}>


Change to (Change "Moderator Group Name" to your liking.):
<{$smarty.const._MD_MODERATOR}>:Moderator Group Name
