I have been struggling with blocks to show up. Recently, I have been trying to bring 'latest Topic' or post to the front page. I as a webmaster can see it but registered members and guests can't see it.

Kindly assist on setting up proper permission.

(I have given permission in forum module as well as by adding 'block' from system under Admin)

What is the proper way to have any module show up on the front?? What am I doing wrong?

Sounds like you might not have gone into Admin>Groups to set the view permissions for blocks for each user-group.

Give that a try and report back, yes?

Thankyou for the prompt reply. I wrote a long reply and while writing for some reasons I was logged out from this website.

Anyway, yes, I have given proper permissions in the 'block', Module and as well as User group level. I double checked and all the permissions are correct.

But still no recent post is showing at the main page for Registered and Anonymous Users. :(

(Is there anyway to attach screenshots??)

Which forums have you selected to show in the Recent Topics block? Do the other groups have access to those forums?

Yes, I selected 'all, Test Forum' in recent post block.

Other thing, I am sure I have given proper permission for that forum to the users group but that you asked I would like to know where and how is it given? so i can double check.

However It does show up for the webmasters but not for other users group.

(Update: yes under module adminsitration, I have seleted all for the view and access boxes for category and forum.)

In Forums admin area, click on the Permissions tab at the top. With CBB 3.0+, there are several ways to set permissions for forums, using a default template, by function (access, view, start new topic, etc), or by group. Use the dropdown to select 'Set permissions directly by group'. There you will see a table with the groups and forums - the second dropdown will determine which function you are setting for the groups.

Using the Insert Image icon in the editor toolbar, you can link to a screenshot saved on your server or somewhere else. There is no way to upload an image and use in your posts.

i know that in CBB 3.08
if you set "Enable Media Features

Display attached Images directly in the post." to yes..

your attached images show up as images.. (um.. like the description says)
CBB / LatestNews / Publisher / XM-Spotlight
