XOOPS Domain

Hi,

I am looking for a free domain for my XOOPS site. It can be at/de/com/org/net/eu/ or something like this. I need it to be free, because I don't have a bank card to pay for it. Without advertisement would be great!

Hope someone can can help me.

Patrick

Re: XOOPS Domain

Hi,

Thank you, but I knew that there are a lot domains you can get very cheap, but my problem is that I don't have a bank card / credit card to pay for the domain. That's why I asked for a free domain.

Thank you!

if you use paypal, you can setup to pay via direct debit from your bank account into paypal, then pay your domain/hosting via paypal (providing the host company accepts payments via paypal)

i don't have a credit card myself, so was unable to pay for hosting via my UK debit card.

surpass was a good choice for me because I have used them regularly and i know how good service you get with them, and they also accept Paypal as a payment method.

it might be worth looking into.

I don't recommend the use of these "free" domain registration places - there's usually some sort of catch somewhere.

Either they tie you into their own web hosting solution and/or they retain "ownership" of the domain, and then will want a ridiculous amount of money to transfer it over to you.

Best thing is to find someone in your country that accepts cheques or postal orders, or similar.
