everytime i try and open phpmyadmin in the latest version of WAMP5 the same error message arrises it says that:

MySQL said:?

#2003 the server is not responding.

that being the case it will not allow me to fully finish the installation.

Does anyone know how to rectify this? thank you so much in advance. I have really been stumped by this.

thank-you for the help. i had been looking for any information on that specific error message for a while.

i am going to go through the troubleshooting right now and try out all of the different pieces of advice, and hopefully one of them works.

something that I kept reading was to check the error log, so i did. However i have no idea what it means. I was wondering if anyone could perhaps help me out and decipher it for me. It repeats this message over and over again:
