I've browsed and seen this topic broached but not many solutions to it. Hoping I can keep it alive.

I'm starting to build a site w/ XOOPS and am finding it quite easy EXCEPT...I need to be able to easily edit the user profile form. I want specific options in the profile i.e. "Band Name", "Genre" etc. (yes, a music based site). And I want members to be able to add audio/video to their profiles. It should be a one stop resume for anyone looking to hire a band. I know that this isn't a "social networking" module (I wish there was) but is there anything we can use to easily create this MySpace/YouTube style community?

Oh, a hitch...I know NOTHING about html/php. Hubby can stumble through some html so that helps a bit. We REALLY like phpFox but our host won't allow us to use it. It was extremely user friendly and pretty much what we needed.

Lastly - has anyone purchased the "Building Websites w/ Xoops" book and is it useful?
