Hi There, I used to run an older version of XOOPS (XOOPS 1.0 RC 3.0.5) and have the MySQL data from it and was wondering whether it was posible to move the members over to my new XOOPS site.

If so how would this be done?

Or should I just leave it alone and not bother?

I have no idea if this will work, so please try it on a backup copy first...

please remember to backup your site and database first.

you have to manually upgrade, version after version, to 2.0.13.2 or 2.0.14 at least. For that, you need all dedicated patches, and apply them one by one

If you do decide to go the upgrade method.. you will only need to go as far as 2.0.10 .. as you can upgrade from 2.0.10 -> 2.0.14 in one step

(remember to backup the original version as I said earlier )

if you want to move only members, david's first post method is for sure the quickest way

hmmm, seems like a long process. And i dont have all the other versions.

I would have upgraded to XOOPS 2 when it was first released but my (old) hosts didnt upgrade the PHP & MySQL at the time. Thus i couldnt upgrade because all i would get was a blank page whenever I tried to install.

But thanks for the info anyway.
