I use WP as a CMS/blog, and PHPBB for the forum. I want to consolidate these two functions with XOOPS or Drupal. Keeping most of my current forum functionality is my premiere concern. I need an easy to use PHPBB-esque forum (avatars, smilies, etc.) and would like to be able to convert my 2 years of posts to the new forum.

Any thoughts on the best way to proceed with XOOPS do get a forum up and running? What's the best XOOPS forum to use? In addition to keeping the PHPBB features, I would also like ease of maintenance and easy upgrades. Thank you in advance for your help.

Personally I would use CBB - as it is one of the few Xoops-specific forums.

There is a couple of variations from GiJoe & Hervet - which I'm sure people can add further details on... but CBB (from http://www.xoopsforge.com) is my own favourite.
