I would like to change ph# to Tel: in the drop-down menus. Is there a variable I can change somewhere?

Obviously the first place to look is in the language files.

If that turns up nothing, the next course of action is to do a text string search on the entire module directory.

Sometimes developer hard codes the string in one of the templates, sometimes it exists outside of the language files.

Doing a module wide search will locate where you need to make the change.

If it was in one of the template files, don't forget to "upate" the module via system admin.

Navigate to:
your-mx-directory-path\language\english(or other lang)\main.php

variable is _MD_BUSPH... change it to whatever in there and save the file.

Thx andycleff. What software do you use for a multi-folder text search? Can you do this in Windows search? (never tried it and going to try it now).

and Tripmon, thx for a very nice module. Level options are great and CSS control is a big plus. I have found one annoying hard-coded 1px table rule - top and bottom of category listings heading. Looks o.k. in IE but Firefox doesn't like it and you get two fat, dark-grey rules that can't be changed in CSS. I'll post the exact code position in case you want to change the template for a future release.

Only other point is... it's great to see you can now disable submission of edited listings by registered users. I always imagined that would cause problems between rival listing clients. But, it would be nice if you could disable it for other registered users, yet allow the creator of the listing to still edit their own entry.

IMHO, of course

@Peekay,

With the editor ConTEXT you can do a search within all files that are opened in the editor.
I often open all the files from one folder and do a search in all those files at once.

Hey, thx McDonald that's a great editor! I use an old copy of PHPEd and the commands in ConText are similar. The tabbed docs are easier to work with and the multi-file search is brilliant.

Should be in an 'Essential Tools' section in the FAQ.

Doh!. That is the way it now works. Very nice!

Try Abacre.com's Advanced Find and Replace.

Or if you are using a site management tool - Dreamweaver or GoLive - they both have built in search tools for this sort of thing.

Or you could switch to the Mac OS - multi-folder text search is built in. Grin.

Thx Andy. I never thought of using Dreamweaver for that. With Xoops/PHP/ASP sites I seem to spend my life in a text editor.

Already a Mac fan! With Xoops, I generally do the graphics on a Mac and assemble the sites on the PC. I've been threatening to set up PHP/MySQL on a Mac for ages.
