Admin.php: no modules listed

I have been running XOOPS 2.0.13.2 for a while now, and haven't had any problems. Today, when I try to access the administration menu, the page loads but there is no list of modules on the left hand side.

The rest of my site seems to be working fine.

The only thing I had done just prior to the admin going blank was uploading the Liaise module (but I removed it and admin is still blank).

Any thoughts?

Hmm..

I used my browser's history to go to the admin preferences section (since my menu was blank) and turned PHP debug on. The menu icons reappeared. I turned debug back off and the icons are still there.

Weird. I didn't get any error messages or anything, either.
