I've read that there is recommendation to use the previous version of XOOPS instead of 2.2.x
Does it mean that the new version following 2.2.x will take a step backward to 2.0.x design or will it be a continuation of 2.2?

I'm about to start new website, do you think that the new XOOPS is going to be available before end of April ??

2.3 is using 2.0 as a base for the code, although it's rewritten a lot from 2.0

You're best using 2.0 until 2.3 is released.

And here is the second question. I've upgraded one of my sites to 2.2.x couple months ago, will there be a downgrade to 2.0 and than upgrade to 2.3 or will you guys have two upgrades now ?? I'm asking because I will have some spare time soon and would like to know if it's better to come back to 2.0 series before upgradeing some of my modules or it doesen't really matter.

I'm sorry for asking such questions, but I don't have enough time to popin here every now and then and follaw what's going on with XOOPS ;)
Although I must say that each time I start a new website (it's not that often as it may sound) I'm looking for something better than XOOPS and I always come back here after a waste of a day or two :P

If you're working fine with 2.2, there's no real need to downgrade. But you can find it here if you wish.

2.0 will be updateable to 2.3, and the soon to follow 2.4

2.2 will be updateable to 2.4 ... but you would have to drop to 2.0 to update to 2.3 i'm afraid.
