Just a quick check - is XOOPS 2.0.6 compatible with MySql 5.0? We're currently running MySql 4.0.18 and want to upgrade to 5.0 but aren't sure if it is compatible with XOOPS 2.0.6.

2.0.6 is a very old version of XOOPS. Lots of security fixes since that version.

MySQL 5 is a newly released database by MySQL (fresh out of the beta cycle) at this time no version of XOOPS fully supports it. XOOPS 2.3 should have support for it after development is complete.

My guess is that it's not compatible.

I don't think MySQL 5 existed when XOOPS 2.0.6 was released. I'm not even sure if recent versions of XOOPS are compatible with MySQL 5, especially third-party modules.

What I would do is install a recent version (that uses MySQL 5) of XAMPP on my computer, and see if it works ok with my XOOPS installation.
