I am using the default forum module that comes with XOOPS 2.0.13.2. I would like a nested view currently only a flat view. I dont see any options to change this on the admin area. I have searched this board and have also looked at https://xoops.org/modules/smartfaq/faq.php?faqid=355 with no luck. Could someone please point me in the right direction.

The format of newbb 1's post follows the instructions of the system comments. Go to System Admin - Preferences - General Settings, find the "Default Comment Display Mode" setting, change it to nested and the forum should show the same way.

I guess that i was confused as to what a nested view and a flat view were. What i would like is to have the content of recent posts (just the orginal post not the comments) in the forum to show in detail on the main page.

CBB uses it's own view modes, separate from the system comments. I would suggest upgrading to CBB 1.15 if you would like more functionality.
