hi there,

I've set up some banner ads and they works fine - but can i ask is there any way of specifying to use a vertical banner? (or whatever!).

An awful lots of sites have different types of banners around their page, it's pretty essential that you can state whether to use the vertical advert or a horizontal one etc etc...so the ad doesn't strech everything and mess up your layout.

So how can I have a 'vertical' banner campaign and a 'horizontal' one etc... Or maybe state that when the banner is displayed in the right box, then use a vertical image instead...

Any ideas?

Unfortunately, the built-in ad managment system in XOOPS is very limited. You can either have verticle or horizontal, but not both at the same time. One approach many people use is to integrate a third party tool like phpadsnew into thier site. If you've got the time and patience, that's probably the best way to go. If you're looking for a simpler method, I found a great little php script that will generate random ads for you, and it can be duplicated too (i.e.: 1 instance for verticle, one instance for horizontal).

Hope this helps.
