We are running XOOPS 2.0.7.3

If we upgrade to the new version will we lose the modules installed.

Such as

Invision Power Board &
WF-Section

Invision Power Board is another story though. It uses hacked core files to function and you need to check for the latest version of the module for it to work with the latest versions of xoops. But since there have been several critical security updates since your current version I would advise you to at least upgrade to the latest 2.0x version.
