Pound is a reverse proxy server. For some reason, I have to user pound inf front of Apache on one of my servers. I tried to install a XOOPS 2.2.2 on this server but it does not work.

The server set up is a little bit like this:

Internet

Pound reverse proxy server

Apache2 server (XOOPS installed)

Although the installation was quite success, it is imposible for me to undergo ANY administration job. Everytime I login, the first page I see is http://XOOPS.domain.com/error.php?c=1 telling me that

Why am I being redirected here?

XOOPS Site site security has detected that your computer has a firewall setting that is preventing you from registering on the site. We use 'Referrer-checking' know as HTTP_REFERER which makes sure that all contents posted are from authorised users only. Your firewall settings are blocking this information, so this will prevent you from registering properly if you try and proceed.

Maybe you have already registered successfully before and are now having problems posting to the forums, news, or other form submissions. If this is the case, you have possibly installed a firewall since registration, or changed the settings of an existing installation.

....

And everytime I install module, the above page will come up after my last installation step. Nothing would be installed after that.

Although it claimed that it is because my "firewall" setting but I'm very sure that it is not the real reason - I have installed on another the same XOOPS-2.2.2 tarball to another server. I can work on it with the same Windows PC client.

Is there anyway to avoid this problem from happening?
Can I just give up the HTTP_REFERER check and related features?
