i'm looking to make a website using php and my sql and was advised by webmaster-talk that this site may have some modules.
I'm not after a forum - but linked up to a standard website which will be buy/selling stuff

I'm after a registration page - like the one on this site - so a user enters some details and then gets an email authorisation

then the ability to load onto the database some details and photos, which can then be search though by vistors with some search engine fuctionality,

I know HTML - some VBscript and TSQL but that was 5 odd years ago I played around with that on a Coporate system. also using access

It was mentioned that PHP and MySQL was the way to go - so I have downloaded an opensource package for that from wampserver and have made a few queries but it seemed to me that most of the stuff i was after would be standard modules which maybe needed a little tweaking and bolting together

I have a look around this site and really was not sure where to start

any advice welcome - thanks
