Ok, I took a look at both config.php and admin_forums.php but decided not to change anything for fear of making things worse. Edit: I am trying to install the newBB forums module, the install claims success, but when I click to add a forum this is what I get.

Edit2: got rid of 4 other errors now, just have this one remaining...
