500 Internal Server Error

After upgrading to the latest stable version of XOOPS (and patch) I've occasionally (say one out of every ten or twenty times) gotten "500 Internal Server Error". I have never noticed it before. Any hints on what it might be? I suspect my site host but the timing of just upgrading has me nervous. Thanks.

My host says that all is well on their end and it's my browsers cache. It's not but what are you gonna do? One last call for any thoughts?
