Article summaries on your homepage (?)

Hi,

I'm very new to Xoops, but I'm thinking about using it for one of my sites. Could someone suggest which module might be the best one (if any) for managing a growing bank of website articles and displaying their summaries (ie. the first few lines, not just the titles) of, say, the latest three, on the home page?

Cheers.

Try AMS. I use it on MyWebResource and it works great!

Hope this helps.

Hi. Thanks for the suggestion. I have downloaded a copy and I'm taking a look - although I can't initially see any block which allows me to display the summaries of three of the latest articles on the home page, or any button for actually adding adding articles under the topics you can create in the modules admin. Hmmmmm...

I use Articles v0.25
I my self found this to be much better, as you can see on my site. (Title and description)
It also has numerous other articles blocks to use.

Where as, when I looked at AMS I didn't like how it wasn't titled and found it more like the news module.

Thanks wizana. I've had a look. It doesn't seem to have more blocks, but two of the four do appear to offer to display the article summaries - which is just what I was looking for. Many thanks.

(Incidentally, I took a look at your website too. You might find some of Ravi Zacharias' work on comparative religious study an interesting challenge some time. Just a suggestion.)

Cheers.

Thanks I will take a look at that!
