Update module or not?

I recently downloaded a patch for CBB to go from 1.13 to 1.14. I replaced the PHP files with the new versions but am not sure whether to press the 'update' button against the module in XOOPS admin (never done this before).

The reason I am unsure is that I have cloned the default template set and made some changes to the cloned templates for CBB which I don't want to lose.

I don't know if updating a module resets the templates from disc, but if it does, how do I update a module and keep my modified templates intact?

Tiny bump. Can anyone tell me what happens to cloned templates when you press 'update'?

nothing. Only the default template set is touched.
