For some reason I cant use the
setlocale (LC_ALL, 'no_NO');
command

I need to use local norwegian day and month names on several sites. How do i use it. somewhere in XOOPS its beeing overridden. can somone point me to the right place to add:
setlocale (LC_ALL, 'no_NO');
?

I couldn't find 'setlocale' in any XOOPS file, but did some research at the PHP website - your server needs to support the setlocale function for it to work. See this link.

yes I know and the server dos. But fore some reson XOOPS overrifes it.

If you are trying to accomplish this through smarty you should set the locale in class/smarty/plugins/modifier.date_format.php

WOW,
setlocale (LC_ALL, 'no_NO.ISO8859-1');
is now working.


I set it as the first line in mainfile.php
......
