Hi there.

I want to make the polls a more used part of the site.

To do this I need the polls to be fresh and change often.

I have a member that is willing to make polls for me so that they get changed as often as they feel like changing them, however I do not want to give any users admin access, which is what it appears that they are going to need in order to add polls to the xoopspoll module.

I know you can use newbb to create and run polls - can the polls block display a poll from newbb?
Or is there another way of getting a newbb poll to appear in a block on the home page?

Are there any alternatives for polls?

I have found in the past that having polls that are only there for a short time, only get a small number of votes, polls that are there for a long time seem to start off slow then get a few votes and then go static and not really perform from that point on.

I want to try my members suggestion of having lots of polls that are going to be random all running one after the other and only there for a week at the most - again I might get a low vote count but if people take notice than I will be happy.

I like the polls module but it seems to just go static, so I either need to get people interested (changing polls often with different content) or I am going to pull it.

Any suggestions at all?

Dave
