debaser - troubles playing mpeg files

Hi

I?m having some wierd troubles playing mpeg files through debaser.

I?ve set the file to be played with windows media player and everything seems to be fine but, when the popups shows up i got a system crash.

I can play the same file outside mod through the windows player.

All the .wmv files play very well with WMP.

Any tip?

Please make test for me and assign the Windows Media Player Video to play the mpegs and have a look if the module will crash your system again.

Hi

Sorry about the delay, i had to reboot

Well I already had set the windows player video to paly the mpeg?s.

The default player (by the mod pre setup) was real player, so I?ve changed to wmvp and the crashes occurs.

All the wmv file types plays very well trhugh the mod thou.

I received the message> "Fault in MCSPMPEG AX at the adress.........." and then blue screen.

But look francis i like that mod very much and guess that the players' administration is really GREAT.

Let?s try to find out what are making those crashes.

What is your browser? And your OS? And your version of WMP? Are you using debaser on a live site (if yes give me access to your site and I will to crash my system)?

Windows media player 9 with updated codecs

Sorry I?m testin it on localhost (easyphp)

Francis, I found another strange behaviour due the windows media player (i guess)

If i?m offline the player seems to not be able to play the files, it shows up but the file doesn?t play.

These are one of the moments when I am thinking of stopping the development of debaser any further.

Last try til I reach the end of my (small) wisdom. Make a copy of the current HTML-code of the WMP and paste in this, which is a castrated version of the html-player-code.

Oh no, please don?t think that way.
I think that you did a GREAT job on this mod and I see a nice future to It.

Your job at the players config was awesome. I never seen nothing like It on a media module.

But due to a huge number of OS?s, players, players versions and codecs........sometimes sh.... happens, hehehe

I?l try the shorty html code and let you know what happens.

Hi Francis

I have some good news

I found the guilt the ( some really bad words here....)MCSPMPEG AX .

That is extension of a sonic foundry old and excellent Sound Forge(audio editor) plugin.
By any reason that plugin was thinking it is the owner of my PC

And due the name MCSP... I thought that this plugin was part of some kind of Microsoft lib

I?ve removed It and now.............I can play all kinds of mpeg through Debaser

Hey Francis, waiting excited for the next version.

Sorry about the delay on answering you, but it tooks me a while to find out
